My family is related to Lizzie Borden, and although its not proven, the family belief has always been that William Borden committed the murders. My Father also traveled to Fall River a long time ago and people from the area had said that the local belief was that William was the murderer.

Hi Randa, welcome aboard!

Arnold R. Brown's book, _Lizzie Borden: The Legend, The Truth, the Final Chapter_ proposes the theory that William Borden was the killer. Brown allegedly got the story from someone who knew William, and claims that the Fall River city government deliberately covered up the truth.

I haven’t read it yet, but it is supposed to be an interesting book.

I have long had a a hunch that both Emma and Bridget Sullivan had a role in the murders.

I am interested in recent conjecture suggesting that Andrew Borden's eyes were the primary locus of the axe blows... Modern murder scholars say this kind of attack happens when the victim has been sexually abusing the murderer... or acting as lewd voyeur.

That is interesting. Do you have a source for the information that the blows were to the eyes?

I think the Dr was involved. I've not yet found anyone else two thinks this. But I read one place that insinuated they were "close". Then the fact that he tried to divert attention from the bucket with bloody towels, and was In her room with the door shut later that night alone with her. And he was the first person she asked for yet he was "not home" but showed up minutes later. Just seems odd. I think she killed step mom, and he killed her dad. And I think the dad may have molested the kids. Thus causing the hate.
